New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: In today’s ‘Breaking News, Latest Updates’ blog, we at English Jagran will focus on the assembly elections in five states – Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur. Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Goa to attend Goa Liberation Day celebrations. As per his office, he will felicitate the freedom fighters and veterans of ‘Operation Vijay’ at the function.
Meanwhile, we will also focus on the COVID-19 pandemic. The National COVID-19 Supermodel Committee has predicted that a third COVID-19 wave driven by Omicron might India early next year. However, it said that it will be milder than the second wave. Currently, India’s Omicron tally has crossed the 100-mark.

16:18 hours: PM Modi inaugurates multiple development projects including the renovated Fort Aguada Jail Museum, Super Speciality Block at Goa Medical College, New South Goa Dist Hosp, Aviation Skill Development Center at Mopa Airport and Gas-insulated Substation at Davorlim, Navelim in Goa.


16:06 hours: PM Modi felicitates the freedom fighters and veterans of ‘Operation Vijay’ as part of Goa Liberation Day celebrations at Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium.

15:32 hours: There were decisions taken in the Kisan Morcha’s meeting for the growth of farmers. ‘Vijay Sankalp Yatra’ is going in UP and Uttarakhand and we are focusing on it. BJP will make government in respective states where elections will be held, says Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Tomar.

Farm laws were brought for the betterment of the farmers. India has seen that PM Narendra Modi added various dimensions in the field of farming. Kisan Morcha should play its role in taking forward natural farming system and work in this direction, he added.
