India registered 12,729 fresh cases of coronavirus on Friday, taking the total caseload to 3,43,33,754. A total of 221 people succumbed to the infection in the past 24 hours. Maximum casualties were reported in Kerala (136), followed by Maharashtra with 32 daily deaths.

A late night fire that broke out at a paper mill in Valsad in Gujarat continued till today morning. About 20 fire tenders were rushed to the site to control the blaze.
